SANJEEV SINGH

Sanjeev Singh joined First Church as Development Coordinator in the summer of 2021 and is passionate about growing community access to the arts. He is working with the church to develop a fundraising strategy, implement a sustainable community arts program, and build partnerships with artists and community leaders in the South Side.

Malaysian-born Sanjeev Singh moved to Chicago in the fall of 2020 after living in Australia for almost 20 years. Sanjeev started his career as a journalist before venturing into higher education management and not-for-profit programming. He is also an internationally-published photographer and his work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery of Australia. Since moving to Chicago, Sanjeev has been involved with the Free Food Market at First Church and various other community efforts. More recently, Sanjeev joined Rush University Medical Center as the Program Coordinator at Affirm: The Rush Center for Gender, Sexuality and Reproductive Health. Sanjeev lives in Hyde Park with his husband and stepson, and loves exploring the vibrant food and art scene Chicago has to offer.
